Employee Certification and Testing

Florida Approved Food Manager Certification Testing aka The Certified Professional Food Manager Exam from the National Environmental Health Association and Prometric.  Approved to meet Florida Food Service Manager requirements and is accredited by ANSI and CFP.  In Fort Myers, Florida on May 29th, 2012 (physical address has not been finalized).  Call Us to register (239)322-8018 we can come to your location!
 
1 Day Training and Testing:
Four hour review given by a NEHA certified Registered Sanitarian
A copy of NEHA's Full Color 136 page Certified Professional Food Manager Book
Two hours to take the exam (scores and certifications are mailed to the candidates)

Florida Approved Certified Food Manager Classes are held periodically throughout Central and South Florida. Class Schedule The exam itself is 80 multiple-choice questions, closed book.  

This is a list of the subjects covered in the exam and the approximate percentage of questions asked on each topic:

  • Principles of Food Safety        47%
  • Foodborne Illness                  24%
  • Food Safety Education             7%
  • Facilities and Equipment         14%
  • Integrated Pest Management     4%
  • Food Safety Regulations           4%

Candidates are allowed two hours to complete the exam.  An optional pre-exam training is available which includes activities and a Powerpoint presentation. Each candidate will receive a  NEHA Certified Professional Food Manager training manual.


Certification and Training Options
Exam meets Florida Health Department requirements Certified Professional Food Manager Training and Testing at your facility (must meet facility requirements) or at regional open classes.

$125.00 per candidate with 1-5 candidates or without advance registration. 

$90.00 per candidate with 6 or more candidates or at regional open classes with
           advance registration.

You must have!! Photo identification and your payment receipt are required to enter the exam room!

A 4 hour test review presentation by a Registered Sanitarian and former state health inspector, group activities, Certified Professional Food Manager training manual for each candidate and two hours for testing with 6 or more candidates or at regional classes.   Only partial refunds can be given.  A $30.00 cancellation fee is charged.

_We can quickly provide testing materials and policy manuals for each employee type in your restaurant.  Bartenders, servers, cooks, dishwashers, bus people and managers all require guidance and knowledge to increase performance and profit.   An Account Services Representative will assist you with this process.  

The Certified Professional Food Manager (CPFM) examination is fully accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and approved by the Conference For Food Protection.The CPFM exam is approved in all states that require mandatory and/or voluntary food service manager certification.  Exams are available in the following languages: English, Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean.
